Our Current Opportunities

HR Generalist 
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will manage the human resources responsibilities and activities for the company, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

The HR Generalist should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training. Top candidates will be comfortable managing grey areas, effective at scheduling and methodical in the recruitment process.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  2. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  3. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  4. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  5. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  6. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  7. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  8. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  9. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  10. Processes payroll biweekly.
  11. Enters and updates employee information in the payroll system.
  12. Leads annual benefits renewal process
  13. Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Working conditions

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical requirements

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

The HR Generalist role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Assistant Branch Manager
(Baltimore-MedStar & Owings Mills)
FLSA Status:
 Non-Exempt

This position is responsible for providing exceptional world-class service and support upholding to the highest integrity of our Brand, with a commitment to living our Mission, Vision and Core Values established.

Overall responsibilities will include assisting the branch manager with daily branch operations through a variety of transactions in branch and online member services, as well as supporting onboarding new members, new business sales initiatives, and monitoring branch activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures branch is opened and closed in accordance with established procedures and that all negotiable items, and transaction records are in balance and protected.
  2. Supports branch performance and expectations by actively promoting the credit union in order to achieve the credit union’s strategic goals.
  3. Provides worldclass in-person, online and telephone support with general and specific service-related information in order to create member loyalty.
  4. Performs daily transactions including share withdrawals, loan payments, account maintenance as well as new deposit accounts while complying with rules and regulations.
  5. Responds to members’ requests, problems, concerns in an urgent manner with timely and appropriate solutions.
  6. Actively upsells products and services based on member needs in order to generate new business.
  7. Promotes ongoing credit union products and services/membership at table events throughout SEG locations, or where other opportunities exists.
  8. Protects the privacy of member information and operates in a safe and secure manner to protect First Eagle and its members.
  9. Continually improves banking knowledge by participating in seminars and conferences.
  10. Abides by First Eagle’s Service Standards and supports Core Values.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

 

  • Two or more years of retail banking experience at a financial institution.
  • College degree in business management or related area preferred.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to temperature changes and workplace hazards.
