What is a credit union?
Simply put, a credit union is a group of people pooling their money not to make someone a profit but to help each other out. It’s a not-for-profit financial cooperative that looks a lot like a bank but acts a lot differently. Instead of pocketing profits, we return them to our members in the form of higher yields and lower fees and loan rates.
Who is First Eagle?
Way back in 1956, we set off helping our members make life better with low-cost, high-value financial services. Today, our field of membership, or who we can serve, includes all U.S. employees of American General Companies, Zurich American Insurance Company, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital & MedStar National Rehabilitation Network (NRN) – and several SEGs (Select Employee Groups).

Why should I belong?
You like the idea of saving money on financial services, don’t you? And how about getting all the perks you’d find at a big bank? Of course you do! So this is where you belong. At First Eagle, you’ll enjoy better rates on loans, better yields on savings, and better service. Plus, you’ll get all the innovative, digital solutions the big boys have and so much more. (And the fact that we put you before profits is a really big deal!)
